WeatherTracker started with a need to have more real-time weather data than the National Weather Service could provide me through WeatherMan.

My first weather station was the original Davis Vantage Pro since they released their communications specifications publicly so it was the easiest to program. My first version was created in October 2004 and it was in perpetual beta until January 2010 with updates sometimes coming fast and sometimes very slow. But I've rededicated myself to the project with the addition of the new Oregon Scientific WMR100 and soon WMR200 stations. I welcome all suggestions on what features need to be added to the program.

The Ambient Weather Virtual Weather Station software has been discontinued and is no longer supported. Most of the features in this software can now be found in our free Ambient Weather Network cloud based software. Designed for Personal Weather Stations, Virtual Weather Station is the most popular and complete solution available for connecting. I’m strongly considering changing brands of weather station for a setup that will provide more frequent updates. I really want more frequent updates on the app and the ability to pick imperial or metric for each reading on the app. If you’re interested in temps, rainfall, and a few other readings, this is the app and weather station for you. Professional Weather Radar Software

WeatherSnoop is simply the best weather station interface software out there. My Davis Vantage Pro 2 station came in a bundle with software from Davis, but it pales in comparison to WeatherSnoop. It works seamlessly with my Davis USB console which is wirelessly connected to my sensor suite outside. The instrument display that displays all the information is intuitive and visually pleasing. You can customize graphs of various data plots, giving the program a polished look. WeatherSnoop 3 allows you to view and access some settings (like archive interval) which are built into the weather station console itself. The developer is VERY open to feature requests and was very helpful when I had questions initially. When new features are added, any questions I have for the developer are answered promptly. I am a weather 'hobbyist' but I feel like a weather pro with this software. I send my data to various websites such as Weather Underground, CWOP, Weather Bug and Personal weather station. There are a few other sites to share with as well. I highly recommend this software.
